    ABSTRACT

    The phytochemical investigation of ecdysteroids involves the following: extraction of the plant material; separation and isolation of the constituents of interest; characterization of the isolated compounds and quantitative evaluations. Emphasis is placed more on chromatographic procedures and structural elucidations.
