    ABSTRACT

The iridoids β-dihydroplumericin (1), plumericin and isoplumericin were isolated from the roots of Himatanthus sucuuba, along with lupeol acetate and cinnamate. The isolated compounds and three different crude extracts from the roots exhibited in vitro immunoregulatory activity in the nitric oxide and interferon-γ inhibition assays, when tested below the cytotoxic concentrations.
